subtle gasping for fearful breath
only amused and encouraged him
to push his eyes right through mine
and press an eager mouth to the
curves of fretful flesh.
this was terrible weakness
my twisted flesh wanted more
but i'd spent far too long there
a fool in his nightmare.
his eyes easily moved me
if only to stun me
his mouth was like fire
raking his teeth over quivering skin
prompting tiny pleas from my throat
he paused to peer at me
From the corners of his eyes
over the line of my cheek
smiling with all the impudent
wisdom left in the world.

RUN, rabbit, run
dig that hole, forget the sun
and when at last the work is done
don't sit down, time to dig another one
steps taken forward
and sleepwalking back again...
encumbered forever by desire and ambition
